Peggy "Susie" Broadwell, beloved partner, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at the age of 65.
Born on February 17, 1960, Susie was a strong, independent spirit who lived life on her own terms. She shared a deep and enduring bond with her life partner, Neal Otto, who stood by her side and cared for her during some of life's most difficult challenges. Susie had two daughters whom she loved dearly, Chrissy and Jade, and two sisters Wanda and Nanci Jo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hattie Mae "Peggy" and Joe Broadwell.
Susie had a deep love for the outdoors-especially gardening, boating, and spending time on the water. Her happiest days were often spent surrounded by the beauty of her community in Ozello, Florida, where she formed lasting friendships and embraced the coastal lifestyle she loved so much.
Susie's journey through life was marked by resilience, and she faced its many challenges with courage and dignity. She was a warrior in every sense of the word-stubborn in the best way, full of spirit, and unafraid to stand her ground.
The family encourages acts of kindness in Susie's memory-spend time by the water, plant something beautiful, or simply tell someone you love them.

I am sorry to read about Susie's passing. She was an inspiration in how she handled her health issues. My prayers will be for the family, friends, and others that loved her.

Susie, I often marveled at your strength to overcome one obstacle after another, you were so strong. Your home was filled with your love of gardening with lush, thriving plants everywhere and your spotless home was a labor of love. You were always one of my favorite Oz people. Rest in peace my friend.
