So sad to hear of Penny's passing. My husband Mark and I knew her from Acme #2 and she was friends with my mother-in-law, Esther Cornell. They had worked together at Montgomery Ward. Penny loved animals and would always ask about our golden retrievers. She will be greatly missed.

Penny and I have been friends for over 40 years. She trained me to work in the Customer Accommodations Center at Montgomery Ward, back in the late 1970's, and we have remained friends ever since. She was my Avon Representative for years after Ward's closed, and we saw each other every week, while she was working at the Ellet Acme store. She was always such a sweet, loving person, and her faith kept her strong, throughout all the trials & challenges she had to face in her lifetime. I will miss her, and will think of her kind ways always. No more pain for you, Miss Penny. With love, Pam

Penny, you are a loved part of my past. Kiddieland, rollerskating, amusement parks, Whitehouse chicken with chocolate milk, swinging at Margaret park, parties at your house, just to name a few memories. We contacted again in December, and told each other of our love for each other. Too little too late. We planned to see each other. With your homegoing, all of my ties to 'home'are gone. I love you, girlie. Always have. Always will.

Sorry to hear of Penny's passing even though it was to her gain. Now she is out of pain and in peace never to hurt again. She was a friend to our family for years, growing up with my younger sister BJ Sutton (Ruble). She will be missed for a season for we will see her later for sure, in God's timing.

Penny always had such a sweet disposition and was so kind to everyone. I came to know Penny when she was volunteering at Haven of Rest Ministries, and through purchasing Avon products from her. She was always a joy to talk with. I know she is in the Lords presence now and filled with joy.

I have known Penny since we were little kids at the ABT. We stayed in touch over the years and always connected on our respective birthdays. I will miss my birthday calls from Penny, where she sang Happy Birthday to me. She always sang the 2nd verse to the Happy Birthday song: "Happy Birthday to you, to Jesus be true. May God's richest blessings now rest upon you". May they rest on you now, dear friend!

Penny was a sweet soul who was always the first to send a card, make a call or offer a smile. Anyone has certainly led a remarkable life when all of those who have met them can share a kind memory. Miss Penny French then you certainly led a blessed life!

I knew Penny from the ABT and worked with her there. She was a very nice young woman who had such a sweet nature. I have very fond memories of Penny and am sad to know she is no longer with us. But I know she is at home with the Lord and is at peace, free from all the worries of this earthly life. Our loss is heaven's gain.
