Peter Johnson Obituary
Mr. Johnson was born in Long Island, New York on June 26, 1945, and was the son of the late Robert F. and Katherine Handrahan Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dianne Bishop and Cathy Ann Johnson.
A retired project manager in the commercial and industrial construction field, he supervised the building of hotels and other large office facilities for many years in the Boston, MA area. From 1989-2004, he and his wife, Lili, enjoyed living in Martha's Vineyard. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he received four Purple Hearts, The Combat Action Ribbon, and multiple combat medals. His life, like his military career, was one spent in service to others.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Lili Taylor Johnson; a niece and three nephews, Amy, Jim, Dan and Kevin Bishop; other extended family members and many friends.
A memorial service is planned for a later time and will be held at Edenton United Methodist Church where he worshiped. Those arrangements, when finalized, will be updated to the obituary page at www.millerfhc.com.
