Pete was a great Judge, great friend, and great man. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. One of he most admirable men I have ever known.

Pete's steady judgment, quick wit, and kind heart shined through his always-good work as a lawyer, judge, mediator, and colleague. The legal world has lost one of its best, and we will miss him.

70+ years ago, you and Lynne befriended a lonely 5 year old who had just moved the Highland Park neighborhood. Our families became friends and you brought much joy into my life. You were my idol. Although we drifted apart after my family moved, I never forgot your friendship. RIP

Dear Pete's Family,
What a fine man! He was my father Thomas M. Reavley's first law clerk on the Texas Supreme Court and his life-long friend. While I practiced law in Austin and had to argue a case in the district court, I was always very happy when I was assigned to Pete's court. No matter how he ruled, I knew that he understood the case and that he was completely impartial. Thank you for having shared Pete with the Austin community--it is better for it.
