I knew Peter well when he was a teenager and in his early 20's, growing up in Sewanee. Intelligent, caring, kind. I had seen him mature over the years, as he became a young man and a skilled carpenter. My sympathy for his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Peter, I really enjoyed getting to know you in our EFM class. You were always the funniest one there and we had some good-natured ribbing over politics. You put a smiling face on every issue and I deeply cherish your friendship. Where others TALKED about making a difference, You and Marianne WALKED IT! So you know all the answers to our Biblical questions now. I can't wait to hug you again and tell you how much I love you. You are sorely missed!

Marianne--
The Deaf grapevine brought news of your loss. Please know your friends in the Evangelical Lutheran Deaf Association are holding you and family in prayer during this painful time. Hugs to you across the miles. May you feel our love and support!

Oh Pete, what to say? You left too soon and I'm so confused. You are my little brother, and I'm so sad, and already miss you so much. I'll miss your humor, your southern drawl, and your ability to help me rebalance. May you be in a better place, and at peace. I love you.
