PHILIP DEMING

Philip Lyman Deming, 90, lovingly referred to as "Obi" or "Colonel," passed away peacefully on February 21, 2012. He was born in St. Louis, MO and lived an extraordinary life working as a chemical engineer, serving 30 years and retiring an Army colonel, and devoting his time to his family and students. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 3 brothers, late wife, Ludmilla Deming, son, Ronald, and precious infant daughter. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Quillin-Deming, children, Philip Jr., Barbara, Frances, Melissa, Monica, and beloved 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will include a 10:30 am viewing at Ft Bliss Center Chapel One, followed by a 12:00 funeral service. The interment service will be held at 1:30 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at 2:30 pm in bldg 440 on Merritt Rd.
