Truly.... This day you will be with me in Paradise (Luke 23:43)

The Mattina family is

sad to announce the passing of Philip Mattina.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 24,2025 At The Biane Winery, 10013 8th St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip David Mattina, who left us on March 25, 2025, just short of his 67th birthday, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 4, 1958, Philip was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Philip is survived by his cherished daughter, Taylor Mattina; his granddaughters, Aubrie and Millie; his brother, James Mattina; his sister, Laura Mattina-Gordon; his mother, Ann Mattina; His significant other, Georgene Dornberger, and many other family members who loved him dearly. Philip was a free spirit who found immense joy in riding his Harley and embracing life to the fullest. His passion for motorcycles was evident, whether he was working to fix them up or simply enjoying the open road.

A devoted animal lover, Philip adored dogs, especially his beloved dog, Lilly. He was also deeply devoted to his family. His fun-loving, sarcastic, and joyful nature brought pure happiness to everyone around him. His bright smile and unwavering desire to protect his family made him a kind-hearted soul who would give the shirt off his back to help others.

As we say goodbye to Philip, we take comfort in knowing that he will fly high in heaven, where the Lord has gained another angel. He will be deeply missed, not just for his infectious laughter and vibrant spirit, but for the warmth and love he brought into our lives. Each moment shared with him was a gift that we will treasure forever.

We invite all who knew Philip to join us for a celebration of his life on Saturday, May 24th, where there will be time set aside for friends and family to share their memories. The gathering will take place at 12 noon at The Biane Winery, 10013 8th Street, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.

Philip David Mattina's memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to shine brightly in our lives.

Well done good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:21)

We were not prepared. One minute you were here, the next, you were gone. There was no opportunity to say goodbye, to tell you we love you. We could not hug, breathe you in or kiss your cheek. How does anyone cope with that? We were all going about our lives and suddenly you were not in our lives anymore. If that isn't the most excruciating pain on earth, then I don't know what is. We just weren't prepared. -Sharyn Marsh

I will never be able to tell you how much I love and miss you, or give you a hug. You will be missed so much. Rest in paradise, until we meet again. Love you Chrissy
