I got to know this family well over the last 10 years and I´ve always said how impressed I am at how Phylis and Joe (although I never got to meet him) cultivated such an ideal, beautifully loving family. Now that the matriarch has passed, I know her legacy will live on through Pat and Lisa who will continue to pass down her values of love, kindness, and generosity to their own children.
Phylis was always so sweet to me as well, welcoming me in and treating me like a daughter of her own. Many fond memories will remain in my heart forever.

Phylis is my only cousin and being 6 years older she was like a big sister and a role model. We became more like peers when I graduated college the same year her Dad died ( my Uncle Phil) and she left the convent to help her Mom (Aunt Dorothy). We had many adventures. My spouse, Allan, and I love her and her beautiful family. We will miss her but am trusting she is with her beloved Joe and family who have gone before. Nancy and Allan

A sad good-bye to Phylis, a good neighbor and also a friend. I have pleasant memories of the many happy time we shared here at Oak Crest. Wishing peace and comfort to her devoted family as they mourn the loss of their mother and grandmother.

I remember Phylis well as we were both boarding students at the Academy in Sag Harbor. She was a lovely person and served in leadership positions at the school.
