The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Copeland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at The Baptist Church of Beaufort.
Mrs. Bray was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Summerville, a daughter of Herbert Nathaniel Hutchinson and Lillie Blackmon Hutchinson.
She was a graduate of Kershaw High School and Newberry College.
She retired as an Executive Assistant from the Beaufort Naval Hospital.
She was a former member of the choir of The Baptist Church of Beaufort and attended Tidal Creek Fellowship. She was an avid tennis player and was a member of the Beaufort Tennis Association.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Edward Hutchinson and Herbert Nathaniel Hutchinson, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of Beaufort; a daughter, Charlotte Anne Kirkman of Beaufort; two sons, Edward Bray Jr. of San Diego, Calif., and Claude Aubrey Bray of Simpsonville; a sister, Margaret H. Cromer of Columbia; a brother, Luther Hutchinson of Summerville; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Tidal Creek Fellowship, 7 Spring Knob Circle, Beaufort, SC 29907 or www.coastalobits.com.
