He was our Pocatello Haigh School Basketball Coach 1952-55. More than a COACH many of us Admired and respected him as an Outstanding Person in our lives. Several of us ( Jim Fogg, Buck MacGillivray and Gary Cahoon) stayed in touch with him our entire lives. The three of us spoke with him many times in his later years. Not too many young boys have the honor of keeping track of their Coach and Mentor their whole life. He was Truly a Guide to us forever. Our love to his Dear Family. I hope his Family has a chance to see how much we cared for him.

Dear Cousins Diane, Barry and Kelly,
I just heard the news today that your dear father passed away last month.
Uncle Press and Aunt Betty were so very precious to our family during those years that you lived in Pocatello. Our mother, Lucile Brimhall Gertsch, just loved her younger brother and his beautiful wife.
My sons and I send our love and blessings to you all.
Your cousin, Darlene Gertsch

I'm so sorry to hear of Preston's passing even though he lived a very full life. My Grandma is Afton Green and I remember Preston and Betty coming to Grandma's house in Roberts to visit her all the time when I was a kid. She would call him Pres and usher him and Betty into the house and first thing she would ask him is if she could get them a bite to eat. Betty would always tell her no, they just came to visit, not eat. Well if they didn't eat then she always sent them home with a care package of her home made rolls, a bottle of fruit and maybe a dead chicken (ready to be cooked of course). I have missed seeing him since Grandma passed away. He was always dressed so nice and he had such a kind voice. She will be so glad to see him now that he has passed to her side. Love to you all from Tracie, Gina and Zane Green

Preston Brimhall was one of the best and kindest men I've ever met. I had the privilege in recent years to visit with him every few months. He always made me feel like I was the most important person in the world. He would even remember specific details about my family. He was so sharp and full of vigor I thought he would live forever. I so looked forward to our visits and I will greatly miss them, and him.

Brother and Sister Brimhall were great examples to me and my family in our Idaho Falls Ward. They were good friends, kind, compassionate, and giving Christlike love. I'm thankful for their service, and grateful to have known them.
