My condolences on the passing of Mr. Althouse. Ralph was truly an awesome man, and his wife Faye, an awesome lady. We were very lucky growing up on the East Side to have them mentor all of us. They brought class, dignity and sportsmanship to our lives. My prayers to the family.

Diane, Susan and Curtis:
We are sorry for your loss. I remember when I was young and I was challenged by Mr Althouse to return his serve on the tennis court. He said if I returned it he would buy me an ice cream cone and of course I didn't even see the ball go by me. He was a great man and mentor for all of us young boys. May God bless him.

Diane, Susan and Curtis:
I remember Mr Althouse as a young boy. Especially on the tennis court, he offered to buy me an ice cream cone if I could return one of his serves I could not. He was a great guy and mentor to the neighborhood kids.

I remember Mr. Althouse in my younger days especially on the tennis court when he was trying to teach us how to play. He offered me an ice cream cone if I could return one of his serves unfortunately I could not. He was a great man and mentor for the kids in the neighborhood.
