Ralph H Baird

Ralph H. Baird, 92, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on July 30, 2025. Born on August 3, 1932, Ralph spent his life dedicated to his wife, his family, his community, and his passion for adventure and humor.

Ralph was a devoted husband to his wife, Shirley (Roberts) Baird, who preceded him in death after 70 years of marriage. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Baird (Leaine), Judith Stephens (G David), and JoAnn Puffer (James), 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his sister, Terry Wadsworth, and his parents, Spencer and Mildred Baird.

Professionally, Ralph was known for his years as a truck driver and cab driver. His commitment to service was demonstrated through his more than 25 years volunteering for Meals on Wheels, where he delivered not just meals but also warmth and companionship to many.

Ralph's hobbies included bowling (he once bowled a 300!), traveling, playing cards, fishing, and spending cherished moments with friends and family. His love for life and ability to bring laughter to any room will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A service to celebrate Ralph's life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday, August 17th, with a gathering at the Stephens residence immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Tunnel to Towers, honoring Ralph's spirit of community support and care.
