Ralph Facchiano Obituary
Highland, NY - Ralph Facchiano, 87, of Highland, NY passed away Saturday, January 7th at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Ralph was born January 14. 1929 in the Bronx, NY the son of the late Louis Facchiano and Julia Ferraro.
On August 7, 1949 he married Catherine Parvis at Our Lady of Pity in the Bronx. His wife predeceased him on April 15, 2005. Ralph was a Mailman for the United States Post Office out of Manhattan until his retirement. After retirement, he kept busy in Highland by working at the Rocking Horse Ranch and driving school bus for Highland Central which he loved.
He is survived by his daughter Christine Holland and husband John of Highland, NY, son Louis Facchiano of Highland, NY 5 Grandchildren: Albert Follini, James Follini, Tara Follini, Ralph Facchiano and Donna Turner. He is also survived by 3 Great Grandchildren and his sister Maggie Palmero of the Bronx. Ralph was predeceased by his daughter in law Linda Facchiano.
Calling hours will take place Monday, January 9th from 4pm-8pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 38 Main Street, Highland, NY 12528. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 am Tuesday, January 10th at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Highland NY followed by burial in Lloyd Cemetery, Highland, NY. I was so very sorry to hear of dads death.
I'll never forget how loving he was to Kitty.
They had that Special something between them.
How special for the whole family that you were so close and were able to share so many good times.
They were both special. Just know that from where they are now they will always be looking down on the family, including your latest blessing, to come. Know that your guardian angles will be watching over you.
