Randall Gaudette passed away suddenly on January 2, 2022 while on vacation in Belize, surrounded by family. Randy served the community of Northwestern Ontario with his store East Coast Lobster for 33 years alongside his father Ron and wife Linda with help from family and friends. July 5, 2021 Randy sold his business to Aaron Gillingham which allowed him to retire with confidence knowing that his legacy of providing good quality fresh seafood to NWO would continue to thrive and grow. Randy enjoyed his retirement by travelling, working at camp, helping friends, cooking, watching sports, and sleeping in. He desperately wanted to spend New Years Eve on a beach as he and Linda always worked New Years Eve at the store. He got his wish. He was very happy to be in Belize. Randy is survived by his wife Linda, his sons Aaron (Wendy), Andrew (Whitney), and daughter Raeanne (Lance Shewchuk), as well as six grandchildren “the varmints” Brandon, Abi, Tucker, Landon, Jade and Caleb all of whom he loved very much. Randy is also survived by his parents Ann and Ron Gaudette, brother Gary (Barbara), sister Cathy (Perky) Precosky, sister Cheryl (Gerry) Muller, sister Lisa (Shawn) as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. Randy leaves behind many close friends and loyal customers who will miss his good nature, his kindness and generosity, and his undying devotion to the Toronto Maple Leafs. GO LEAFS GO! Monday, January 24th 2022 there will be a visitation at St. Agnes Parish from 10:am – 10:55, all are welcome. There will be a private mass for Family following at 11:am. The mass will be live streamed Live (stagnesrc.ca) in compliance with Covid protocol. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation “Our Hearts at Home” campaign.

I met Randy and his dad at East Coast Lobster. By a pleasant surprise Randy and I were at the same house party of a mutual friend. Randy was always a welcoming, engaging person. It was easy to see why Randy's personal and business life were such a success. My heartfelt condolences to all of Randy's family, friends and valued customers. Sincerely, Kelly Greer

Linda, we share in your grief. Randy deserved a lot more retirement time than he got. We treasure the memories of our neighborly times on Sequoia, as well as our short but sweet visits to the store over the years. He will be missed by many.
