Randy L. Halverson, age 57, of Frost , died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at United Hospital in Blue Earth. A Celebration in memory of Randy's Life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Frost Community Center. Burial will be in United Lutheran Cemetery, Frost. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Randy was born February 21, 1956, in Britt, Iowa, the son of Adrian and Velma (McClain) Halverson. He was raised and educated in Frost, graduating from Frost High School in 1974. He attended Redwing Vocational and Technical College and began driving large trucks. He was married to Julie A. Evans on April 22, 1989 in Frost. Randy drove for several local trucking companies before starting Halverson Brothers Trucking with his brother, Bill in 1991. They continued to operate the business to the present. Randy was a 30 year member of the Frost Fire Dept. and was the current Assistant Chief. He was also serving on the Frost City Council. Randy enjoyed boating and his summer trips to the Brainerd Drag Races. He also enjoyed working on his trucks; he was fortunate that his work was also his favorite hobby. Randy is survived by his son, Adrian Halverson of Frost, his brother, Bill (Mary) Halverson of Frost, his brother, Buck (Laurie) Halverson of Blue Earth, his sister in law, Linda Halverson of Tucson, AZ, his former wife, Julie Halverson of Frost, his step son, Jared (Elana) Beckmann of Winona, his step daughter, Alicia Hastings of St. Peter, step grandchildren: Averie & Brynn Beckmann & Emmalyn Hastings, his close friend, Kevin Steinhauer and several nieces and nephews who adored him. He leaves behind many dear friends, co-workers and extended family members whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Halverson.
