Dear old friend,
Think I've heard you mumble a little bit with me over the fact that there were no new entries in your Guest Book from me for quite some time now. You're right as usual. But you know me and so you know that I am not the most skillful person in dealing with electronic media. Unlike you, who has always been familiar with the latest communication technologies.
I was always a little jealous of that, I'd be happy to admit it. And so it happened that with my humble knowledge I started failing to contact the right web connection for your book. Thank goodness friends and also Laila have updated me and my equipment again so far that I will be able to return regularly to entries in that book. Dear Cherian Family. I knew a Ravi Cherian when I was a student in Nagpur between 1973-78. The Ravi I knew was a Medical Rep with a Pharmaceutical company. Two of his sisters stayed with him whose names I believe were Lilly and Dolly.
If this obituary is for the Ravi I knew, I am truly saddened with his passing. He was the life of every party and a great friend.

I, too, have strong memories of Ravi and his family. His obituary speaks of a "close-nit family with strong values." Since his passing, I have noted this many times here at church. For example, in my log on Sunday, Sept 9, 2012 I wrote of the Cherian family: "At Healing Prayer time today the Ravi Cherian family came to the Chapel to ask for prayers. It's not often that you see family return to church less than 24 hours after the burial of a loved one! I spent about 30 minutes with them; they are in shock but turning to God in their need. An exceptionally close and faith-filled family. Let's not forget to pray for them." Laila, Ritu, Rohan, Matthew, Leah and Enya: do not forget that you are often in my prayers as you continue to grieve the loss of this extraordinary man. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
