Ray Larsen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 4, 2022.
Ray Earl Larsen 34, November 27, 1987 to October 28, 2022

A loving son, grandson, life partner, Father, stepfather and dear friend left this earth far too soon on October 28th, 2022, his passing being very unexpected and left misunderstood.

Ray was born November 27, 1987 to Tiffnie Pennington and Trent Larsen in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Cottonwood High School.

Since day one, he has became everyone's "Ray of Sunshine". His loving nature would make any gray sky become clear. He enriched all of our lives.

January 11, 2013 he became the proud father to his 9 year old son Kaison Ray Larsen. He loved being a dad. His son was a very special piece of his life. He looked forward to their future together and watching him grow into a young man.

Ray loved and cherished his significant other and soulmate Emily Cordova. They had a love story relationship and it was very obvious the love they had for one another.

He gladly took the role as a step dad to Jaela. They often teased each other and gave her the nickname " brochacho" he got a brief taste of parenting a teenager, he enjoyed that role and did an amazing job doing it.

Ray was employed with Momentum Glass Recycling. He loved his job, enjoyed all his co-workers and worked diligently and with very much pride and honor up until his passing.

Those who briefly met him got his goofy humor, those who were close to him got his kind heart, caring nature and intelligent wonder of history and the supernatural. He had a wonderful sense of adventure and curiosity for the unknown. The strive to learn and be educated to the best of his ability, and to understand the unknown. He was very intellectual and loved learning new things. He enjoyed teaching and sharing things from a different stand point to others.

He would often look past his own insecurities or whatever troubles he was facing in his life and go to the end of the earth to be there for those he loved.

He reserved a special love and place in his heart for his grandmother Dolly Christensen. She was one he looked to for guidance and wisdom. He loved his mother, father, and sisters Lacey and Chancie who were all so proud of him and the man he had become.

He was the proud uncle to Delilah, Aerabelle, Rylie, Makenin, and Bexton.

He was and always will be a special person to everyone whose life was touched by his loving heart and the witty dad jokes he loved to share with his family and loved ones. He will be deeply missed and will remain our hearts forever.

Ray became full of life and loved the new life he was living. Living a healthy sober life was very important to him. With that being said, if you are sober and would like to come pay your respects, please join us for a celebration of his life on Sunday November the 13th. A open house will be held from 11:00 AM- 3:00 PM at:

Sapa Sushi Bar

722 S. State St

Salt Lake City, Utah 84111

Ray is proceeded in death by his Step- mom Kristi Larsen, step-dad Jared Ekstrom, grandma Diane Neely and great-grandmother Evelyn Bolliger.
