Raymond "Pete" Walter, 91, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025 at his home in Satellite Beach Florida. He was born on the 4th of July 1934 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Raymond and Myrtle Walter.

Pete graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville and served 4 years in the US Air Force repairing and servicing B-29 and B-26 Bombers before returning to Evansville. He worked at Whirlpool for 40 years. In 1976 he joined the US Army Reserve.

After he retired from Whirlpool and the military he spent his winters in Florida and his summers at his river camp in Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, golfing and supporting numerous community organizations including the River Bend Association, the American Legion, the Eagles and the Moose Lodge. Pete and his late brother Bill were known for putting on terrific BBQs and fish frys at the river camp and fried chicken dinners at the Moose Lodge and American Legion post in Florida.

Pete is survived by his older brother Edgar Walter of Evansville, his three daughters Stacy Tuttle (George Humphrey) of Evansville, Sharon Medernach and Susan (Gary) Ward of Satellite Beach, his nephew Ed Walter of Evansville and his granddaughter Chelsie (Adam) Sparacino of Pittsburgh, PA.

Along with his parents, Pete is preceded in death by his brother William "Bill" Walter, his sister-in-law Margret "Margie" Walter, two ex-wives Patricia Walter and Barbara Walter of Evansville and he was widowed by his third wife Carolyn Alexander of Port Dover Canada.
