Joan, Lynn, Lisa and family:
I am truly sorry for the loss of Ray. I can still hear those famous words, "Now, you girls!!" when we were in band together. His smile and sense of humour will always be a very fond memory. Thinking and praying for all of you in this time of loss.

Sincerely,
Steve & Tracey Lockrem

Mrs. Gurnsey and family
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband and father. I remember Mr. Gurnsey as a band manager from my many years in the Lions Band. Whether it be at the Band Hall, the RCMP Barracks for marching practise or on summer trips, Mr. Gurnsey was there...a gentle man with a kind heart. I lost my husband to cancer 3 1/2 years ago and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. There are no words to make things better but taking one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time, allows us to carry on.

Joan & Family - Memories of Ray take me back to my childhood, with visits at my mother & father's (George & Pearl Geran's) home on Athol Street. With his playful teasing & his calm & quiet demeanour, Ray always took time to visit with us as children & as adults. His kind ways will always be remembered!

Our condolences to you & your families!

I worked with Ray at Westons for 6 years and was saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great person to work with and would always bring the girls in the office nuts from one his trips to Hawaii. He would tell us stories about when he started at Westons and they used the horses and how the horses would sometimes head back to the stables without the driver! I know how much he loved square dancing and his two month winter trips to Hawaii. I know how much he will be missed and I would like to say it was a great honor knowing him. Joan and family, don't be sad because he is gone, be happy that he was. Thinking of you in your time or sorrow, God Bless.
