Reba Beard

Graveside services for Reba Beard, 58, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Hopewell Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Howard will officiate.

Mrs. Beard passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, in Cleburne. She was born Feb. 28, 1949, in Houston, Texas, to McAllen and Shirley Rose Reddicks Ray. She married Jimmy Beard June 24, 1966, in White Settlement, Texas.

Mrs. Beard was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Reba Beard is survived by her husband, Jimmy Beard, of Cleburne; mother, Shirley Ray, of Cleburne; daughters, Candyce Sanders and husband, Todd, of Cleburne and Angela Strotman and husband, Jeff, of Alvarado; sons, Jeffrey Beard and wife, Linda, of Cleburne and James Ray and wife, Crystal, of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; sisters, Nelda Eason and husband, Harold, of Alvarado and Rhonda Wilkinson and husband, Eddie, of Arlington; brother, David Ray and wife, Sue, of Whitney; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, McAllen Ray.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
