Rebecca Sue Simpson

Rebecca Sue Simpson, 28, of Nacogdoches, Texas, entered in to the loving arms of our Lord February 16, 2010, with her loving family by her side. Becca was born August 3, 1981, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Robin Sullivan and Sonny Simpson. Rebecca was the most loving and caring person, always putting others before herself. Rebecca enjoyed living life to the fullest. Her greatest love and passion, her daughter, Jami Nicole Simpson, was sent to her November 25, 2007. Becca and Jami enjoyed spending every day together, playing and loving each other. In April 2009 she reconnected with an old friend, Ryan Thompson, and fell in love. They were engaged to be married this summer. In her short years here on earth, Becca created a life of which everyone can be proud. Becca was survived by her daughter, Jami Nicole Simpson of Nacogdoches; fiancŽ, Ryan Thompson of Nacogdoches; mother, Robin Sullivan of Nacogdoches; two step-sisters, Chelsea Stephens and Makayla Stephens, both of Minnesota; father, Sonny Simpson, and step-mom, Donna, of Las Cruces, N.M.; brother, Buddy Simpson and wife, Stacy, and their daughter, Mackenzy, of Las Cruces; step-brother, Brandon Summer and wife, Karis, and their children, Summer, Autumn and LeeAnn Wylie of Las Cruces; step-sister, Jolene Wylie of Las Cruces; half-brothers, Dylan and Levi Simpson, both of Las Cruces; grandmother, Rebecca Cawthon and step-grandfather, Alvin Cawthon, both of Tucumcari, New Mexico; and numerous aunts; uncles; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Jim Sullivan; maternal grandmother, Dolores Ferrell; maternal grandfather, Rocky Sullivan; paternal great-grandmother, Lennie Olive Laster Thomas "Granny Bear"; paternal great-grandfather, Bernard Ceicil Thomas; paternal grandfather, William Simpson; paternal great-grandmother, Effie N. Simpson; and great-grandfather, Wilbern Jack Simpson. We love you Becca, and will think about you every day, until we are with you again!
