Regina Dark Obituary
YOUNGSVILLE, N.C. — Regina (Gibson) O’Neal Dark, 50, died March 31, 2008, at her home.
Regina was born Nov. 7, 1957, in Elwood, the daughter of Homer Gibson and Connie (McCoy) Gibson.
She was a member of Arcadia Church of the Brethren and Mary Hanlin Bowling League. She graduated from Elwood High School in 1976 and attended Anderson University from 1993 to 1996.
When living in Indiana, she had worked as sales representative for National Programming Service of Indianapolis.
She is survived by her husband of one year, Charles Dark Sr. of Youngsville, N.C.; former husband, Ricky O’Neal of Elwood; father, John “Homer” Gibson; daughter, Katelynn (Chuck) Tunnell of Elwood; two sons, Michael (Chelsie) Peterson of Elwood and Steven E. O'Neal of Elwood; granddaughters, McKenzie Tunnell and Kelsa Tunnell; grandsons, Jackson Peterson, Caden Tunnell and Brandon Tunnell; two brothers, Ron (Brenda) Gibson of Elwood and Larry (Cheryl) Gibson of Elwood; a sister, Bonnie (Jim) Werline of Fort Myers, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; stepson, Chuck (Jenny) Dark Jr. of Rockville, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Renee Dark of Rockville, Ill., Grace Dark of Rockville, Ill., and Crystal Dark of Dover, Del.; and stepgrandson, Trevor Dark.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie (McCoy) Gibson.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St., Elwood, with the Rev. Mark Knapp of the United Brethren Church of Arcadia officiating. Interment will follow in Elwood City Cemetery in Elwood.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Dearest Rick and Family,
I was so surprised and saddened when I read about Regina. She was a good person and I was always so thankful that she taught Katie and Steven such love and to keep in touch with our family. Please know that I will be thinking of you all during this sad time. I will be back in Indiana in July. Let's try and get together.
