Rhett Sloan Garrett

Rhett Sloan Garrett, 4-month-old son of Chelsea Olivia and Stetson Wayne Garrett of Douglass died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. Rhett was born Aug. 31, 2015, in Nacogdoches. In addition to his parents, Rhett is survived by his brother, Ryder Gage Garrett of Douglass; sister, Montana Jo Thacker of Broaddus; grandparents, Timothy Wayne "Papa" and Charnette "Big Momma" Garrett of Chireno, Kayla "Nanna" and John "Paw Paw" Williamson of Nacogdoches, and Craig "Paw Paw Longhorn" and Bridgette "Gigi" Dixon of Trinity; great-grandparents, Suzy "Maw Maw" and Vennon "Paw Paw" Dailey, Martha "Grandmother" and Wayne "Granddaddy" Garrett, all of San Augustine, Jerrel "Papa" and Lanell "Grandmother" Parten of Spring, Billie "Mammaw" Walker of Lufkin, and Art Kainer of Livingston; uncles and aunts, Travis and Shelby Garrett of Chireno, Katy Garrett and Josh Ellender of Crosby, Kaleigh and Michael Williamson of Pineland, Tessa Williamson and Trevor Marsh of Crockett, Colton Parten of Trinity, and Tyler Taylor of San Augustine; and a host of cousins, great uncles and aunts, and other relatives. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at Cason Monk-Metcalf's Chapel, 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, with Bro. Jerrel Parten officiating.
