I am Charlie Allerton's daughter Joella. Richard was my Dad's first cousin and I have many fond memories of him through the years. I spoke with Minnie Allerton Alcorn yesterday and we shared a lot of stories about the cousins. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I'd love to stay in touch, especially with Jack. My email is: [email protected]. Love to all, Joella Allerton

I always enjoyed being in Dick's company. We had good times discussing not only our golf games but also life. He was a very nice man who never met a stranger. He will be missed.

Mr. Allerton was such a dynamic reading tutor at Riverside Elementary School. The students looked forward to meeting with him each week and had such fun. He made learning exciting! May you find comfort in your many loving memories of a great man.

Dear Dick and Cathy, We are so saddened by this news. What a smiling face every time he would greet us at his second home at the beach. If there was a blow we would share candles or batterie TVs. What a sweet soul. He will be sadly missed. Your old neighbors, Debbie and Jim

Dick was an amazing stepdad over these past 25 years. I'll aways be grateful to him for the love and care he gave my mother, especially over the last years of her life. Rest in Peace, Dick...I will miss you, your witty humor and laughter and "our evening chats".
