Richard Bishop Obituary
He was born in Cambridge, Mass. on February 21, 1952, the son of Wilfred and Mary (O'Keefe) Bishop. He graduated from Arlington, Mass. High School in 1970.
Richard had a 44year career with Verizon in Burlington, Mass. retiring in 2014. He took many technical courses and earned with heating and air conditioning licenses through Verizon. He moved to Wilmot in 1990.
Richard served in the US Army during Vietnam and was a member of American Legion Post #40. He enjoyed working outdoors on the lovely grounds of his property and would cross country ski and take in the beautiful scenery.
Richard is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Maryann Broussard formerly of Litchfield, N.H.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Castronova-Baird) Bishop of Wilmot, N.H.; three children, Tyler J. Bishop of Sunapee, N.H., James R. Bishop of Sutton, N.H. and Caroline J. Bishop of Concord, N.H.; three stepchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Simon Barnett of Danbury, N.H., Jesse Baird of Concord, N.H. and Jason and his wife, Jill Baird of Portland, Or.; four step-grandchildren; a brother, James M. Bishop of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a sister, Cathy Battye of Hudson, N.H. and a brother-in-law, Steven Broussard of Litchfield, N.H.
Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, N.H on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, New London, N.H.
Memorial contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes, 724 Main Street, New London, N.H. 03257.

So sorry for your loss. We will miss Richard so much, he was such a great neighbor to us. His smile and wave are going to be missing from Stearns Rd. He was so good to our kids as they would play in the brook and his back yard all the time. He always had great stories and would always joke around with everyone. It was a pleasure being his neighbors and getting to know him over the past 17 years. We will all miss him.
