Richard Boich Obituary

Richard Boich was born on September 6, 1937 and died on July 5, 2025 in Prescott, Arizona. He was the only child of Nick and Carmella Petro Boich.

Richard was a graduate of Phoenix College and Adams State University with a degree in business administration. Active in athletics, he earned nine letters from the two colleges in three sports. Upon graduation he entered the US Army. His first military assignment was in Korea, where he received an officer's commission and then served at First Army Headquarters in New York. He retired in 1992 from J P Morgan Chase Bank as a vice president. While employed, Richard served on the board of directors for the Arizona Humane Society.

After retiring and moving to Oregon, he was on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Medford, Oregon. As a volunteer for National Public Radio in Ashland Oregon, he conducted his own on-air program of interviewing people about local and regional issues. During retirement, he self-published three novels as well as writing two screenplays.

A daughter Laura Blackfeather, grandson Lake Blackfeather, former wife Marianne Carroll, extended family Karen and Kevin McGinnis, and Kevin and Norma Brandon survive him. His significant other of twenty years Helga Brandon predeceased him.
