Richard Glivinski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 24, 2022.
Richard Steven Glivinski, 71, of Sandy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20. He was born in Milwaukie, Oregon in 1951 to Steven and Dorothy Glivinski (Robinson).

After graduating from Milwaukie High School, he served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1971. He moved to Sunnyvale, California, where he met and married his spouse. They lived for ten years together in California before giving birth to their sole child, Elizabeth. They subsequently moved to Yarmouth, Massachusetts to be closer to family. There, he attended college and earned his degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1998 after which he practiced Pharmacy on Cape Cod.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman, frequently venturing on hikes in the White Mountains in the east and the Cascades in the west. He loved skiing and sailing, hobbies he bestowed upon his daughter.

He is survived by his loving daughter Elizabeth (Cameron) Glivinski-Fraser of Boston, MA, his sister Carol (Barry) Young of Gresham, brother Dan Glivinski of Los Gatos, CA, former spouse Tammy (James) Saben of Yarmouth, MA, and fourteen nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother Gene (Michelle) Glivinski.

Private services will be held by his family. In lieu of flowers, please keep the family in your thoughts and express your love to those you care for.
