Dear Pam and David,
I'm sorry about your dad. He was a fun person to be around. We spent many fun times together many years ago, cruising around Medicine Lake, going to the Elks Club, boating on Lake Superior, visiting folks around the lake, visiting family.
Even through my life became very busy, we did keep in contact. He always seemed pleased when I called him on his birthday.
I know his last three months have been difficult for both of you, watching him in hospice. I know it was difficult for me to see his failing health. He did try to be as cheerful as he could when I visited him, considering the circumstances. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
Pam and family, David and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Pam, Greg, And David,
I'm glad I got to visit my uncle Richard on a good day not long before he died. We reminisced and he showed me photos of family and his home on the lake, which he loved.

Richard was a member of the Bridge Club of St. Paul. He served as Board Director with me for one year. During that time, he gave unselfishly of his time, research on topics, invaluable discussion on topics for consideration and adoption. He was well respected and loved. He will be missed.

Pam and David, Sorry to hear about your dad. I've known Dick for over 40 years. Haven't seen as much of him since I moved to Az. Wished I could of come up there this last year, but it just wasn't possible. When we all got together 2 years ago it was GREAT!! Love You, Mary Ann Cole (Payson, Arizona)

Very sorry to hear about Dick's passing but he certainly is much more comfortable now with no more of the aches and pains of older age. Our small group of Marines, and wives, used to get together at his (really nice) home on Medicine Lake monthly to fold, stamp and label the 1st Marine Division newsletter that I published "Globe and Anchor Facts." We always enjoyed that time together. We (Barry Lieberman, Bob Sevlie, Dick and I) also had good times getting together for breakfast now and then. Time passes too swiftly. We keep losing good friends.

Dick Grime's 76th B-day (We had to pick on him, hence the 90 candle and Old Fart statement!;))

Pam, David, and Greg,

The neighborhood will miss your Dad more than you can know, especially the Red Truck Society. Just thought I'd share a picture of one of our many fun times. It was Dick's 76th Birthday in our backyard (one of his frequent hangouts) Pay special attention to the 90 candle and old fart written on the cake. Dick was such a good sport and loved the attention! It will not be the same without him joining us around the bonfire and sharing stories.
