Condolences to his loved ones. I was looking him up to see if he was still in practice and saw this instead. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Harris. He delivered me (44 years old) and 1 of my brothers. He also delivered 1 of my girls and was my OBGyn for both (my youngest decided to come early while he and his family were on vacation)... I was terrified with my first daughter and he always made me feel better. She was my first ever surgery (c-section) and I broke when he told me. He was so gentle! He took me and my mom to his office and consoled me and reassured me it was going to be okay. He was a blessing for sure! I know it's been over a year, but I will still be praying for all of his loved ones as i know it probably still hurts. I'm thankful I had the chance to get to know him.

Dr Harris was more than just a Dr. he was a friend. He always had time to listen to his patients. He actually did my and my fiancee's blood tests when we got married. He took care of me when I had endometriosis.
He operated on me and treated me for 4 years. After which I asked for a hysterectomy. Dr. Harris did me a great service, 1 week before my 30th birthday still the best birthday gift ever. He was the best Dr. and person I ever met. He genuinely cared for his patients and for that I'll always be grateful. It was a privilege knowing him and being someone he took care of. I'll never forget him. I pray for his family, I know he is missed by them.
I moved out of state so had to find another Dr. Never found one that could hold a candle to him. I'll miss him because the world was a better place with him in it.

Dr Harris delivered me (32 years and counting!), Mom has never stopped talking about him. So thankful for the special life that he dedicated to others, and provided so many of us with the best gift; a healthy-safe birth, and amazing care to our mothers. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Sending my condolences.

This man welcomed me into the world almost exactly 25 years ago! Both my mom and aunt saw him during their pregnancies. Both had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Things like how he seemed to truly listen to his patients and made them feel respected. May he rest in peace and bliss.

My sincere condolences and prayers to the family of Dr Harris. I was prob among his first patients in Huntsville. His knowledge and swift diagnosis saved my life when he determined I was suffering from an ectopic pregnancy after another Dr.'s inadequate assessment. He was caring and totally committed to his calling to serve. Enjoy the peace and comfort of great the memories he left behind and know they are lifetime blessings.

Our sincerest condolences to all the Harris Family.

I had the pleasure of playing cards against, and a few times with, my classmate Richard at Fisk University. Richard was a true Fisk loving alum and his memory and spirit will be cherished by all of us.

May God comfort all of you during this time.

Dr Harris was a wonderful OB/GYN and when I moved here I found him! He delivered my son, he had to leave a game but he was ok with that- he and I joked because we were born same day twenty year difference. My husband came to 1st ultrasound, then nearing birth (25 yrs ago) I brought back my husband and mom since they would be in birthing room, when I reintroduced my husband, he jokingly said that isn´t man you have been bringing- always a laugh! We didn´t want to know gender... when our son was born, he said you have a little Jesus since he was a boy and our last name is Christ. He will truly be missed and my sympathies and love for the family. Please know he made my becoming a mom less scary and more of a "we" got this instead of just me

Dr. Harris wasn´t just an amazing doctor, but an outstanding human. He cared for me for 12 years until his retirement and without him, I wouldn´t be alive. He literally saved my life and I will forever be in debt to him. May he rest peacefully in eternal glory .

Dr. Harris was my OB/GYN. He delivered at nine of my 12 children. Needless to say I spent many hours in his office and in the delivery room with him. I trusted him as a physician for sure. I felt like he would definitely know what to do if anything were to ever go wrong. He will be missed.

I loved Dr. Harris and I am so sad that I won't get to see him again. He delivered all 3 of my children. He was the first face they saw and he welcomed them all first. I loved our Auburn/Alabama/Georgia banter. He was as wise as he was smart. He had a great sense of humor and I he will be greatly missed. Thank you for being the absolute best Dr. and helping me deliver the ones I love most in the world. God Bless all his family and friends. I pray I will see him again one day.

This is a man who was a phenomenal doctor and loved by all of his patients. He had a tremendous zest for life. He helped so many in so many ways yet others never knew he had done so. He will be missed particularly by those who cherish him. There are so many other things I could say about his accomplishments but he never wanted to discuss all the good he did for others
