To all the Kernions: My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. It's been a long time since I've seen Richie and the rest of you but I do have fond memories of a fun-loving man who took Tom and I to a fantastic New Years Eve party back in 1959. We had a ball! God bless you all, especially Yvette and Dan and family and sister, Anne, in this time of sorrow.

Dearest Marie, Richie. Amy & Family:
Our heartfelt sympathy on the recent passing of Big Richie. He was truly a class act. We wish we could attend the Memorial Mass, but Paul had a stroke and is bedridden, and I am his caregiver, so we are homebound. We remember you as a loving family whom we shared such good times with at Jesuit. Please know that Richie and all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Lovingly and with Blessings,
The Paul Heigle Family

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Richard at Mandinas. Our entire Mandinas family offer Mrs. Kernion, Richie and Amy our sympathies and prayers during their time of loss. The phrase that comes to mind in remembering Mr. Richard is "the epitome of a class gentleman".
