Richard Litvack - beloved friend and fellow traveller in this mysterious journey of life. All these words describe you: warm ,caring, dignified, good humoured, patient. Yet something more: you knew the journey was never over and discoveries await, just around the next bend... We shall miss the long walks and philosophical talks in Montreal, Vancouver and Saltspring, where the photo was taken - your loving friends, Alex Angioli and Michael Aronoff.

I am terribly saddened to hear of Richard's passing. Donna, I still remember vividly, those many years ago, when you two met, and you told me you'd fallen deeply, profoundly in love. I wish I had know Richard better, but I remember his beautiful, warm smile, sense of humour and gentle manner. I send heartfelt condolences to you, Chaya and Matt, Morty and Pearl, and all your conjoined families. I will phone you. love, Carolyn

Linda, Adam Emma and I were so sorry to hear of this. Richard was a fine, fine person. We will remember with fondness the times we spent together watching our kids grow up.

My sincere sympathies to Richard's family. I only met him a few times, mostly at sad Litvack-Frankl events, but was always so impressed with Richard's gentle manner & intelligence. Andrea will extend my sympathies to you in person.

Reading the loving comments of those close to Richard over the years, one cannot be but touched by the apparent grace with which my long ago TMR school friend lived his life. Not surprisingly. For even in our teen years, he exuded a quiet dignity. Decades later, our life journeys having taken their respective chosen paths, I will always associate the term mensch and the name Richard Litvack.

I am so sad to hear of Richard's passing. When we were young, he was a great friend and was such an interesting, warm and vibrant person. My brothers and I had great times with him in Florida and he is part of the many happy memories we shared. What a terrible loss for everyone who knew Richard. My heart goes out to all his family.

I REMEMBER RICHARD CAME TO OUR HOUSE IN THE CITY WITH HIS RED HAIR AND DRIVING A VOLVO!!! I WAS JUST 10 YEARS OLD AND MY MOTHER, WHO ADORED HIM, WOULD NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT HER COUSIN RICHARD...SHE WAS CRAZY ABOUT HIM !!!

I DONT RECALL WHERE WE DROVE TO , BUT I KNOW IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I MET HIM, AND KNEW INSTANTLY,JUST BY BEING IN HIS WARM PRESENCE, WHY MY MOM LOVED HIM SO MUCH.

THERE WERE MANY FUN TIMES AND SUMMER PARTIES IN THE LAURENTIANS AT THIER COUNTRY HOUSE, AND I STILL SEE COUSIN JUDY IN THE LIVING ROOM DANCING WITH FREINDS AND FAMILY ,BRUCIE PLAYING THE GUITAR AND RICHARD STIRRING THE BON FIRE BY THE LAKE.

EVEN THOUGH I WAS JUST 10 YEARS OLD, I UNDERSTOOD THE FOOTPATHS THAT CAME BEFORE MINE AND FOR WHOM I WAS NAMED AFTER (UNCLE WILLY). THE IMPACT THAT RICHARD LEFT ON ME WHEN I WAS A YOUNG 10 YEAR OLD BOY IS STILL CARRIED WITH ME TODAY.

HE WAS KIND AND LOVING AND HAD A VERY SPECIAL SOFT TOUCH.

I AM 42 YEARS OLD NOW, AND I WILL NEVER FORGET OUR COUSIN JUDY, MY UNCLE HYMIE, OR OUR DEAR COUSIN RICHARD , WITH HIS RED HAIR.

I KNOW HE WILL BE MISSED ALWAYS.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE~

Dear Family Litvack,
I was so saddened to learn of your loss. Although I never knew Mr. Litvack, the warmth and zest for life which distinguishes his daughter Chaya must be a lasting testimony to his own strengths. I hope that with the support of friends and family you will pass through the time of sorrow.
Sincerely,
Edna Reingewirtz

A great loss for you I know, and a great friend for me. I met Richard as soon as the family moved to TMR. Richard is perhaps the only friend left from that period that I was still in contact with.
