Moskowitz, Richard H., - 69, of Smithville, passed away on February 7th, 2023. Born in Philadelphia on December 27th, 1953, Rich had a passion for tinkering and working with his hands which led him to start his career in electronics and later optometry. He was a devoted husband and father to his wife Mary, and his daughters Laura and Mandy. His sense of humor was well loved among family and friends. He enjoyed playing video games with his beloved daughters, as well as caring for his dear cats and all manner of woodland creatures. Alongside his wife Mary, of 48 years, he enjoyed a life full of bike rides, travel, wine tastings and laughter. He is survived by his wife Mary, his daughters, Laura (Boris) Zinshteyn and Mandy (Alan) Lu, his sister Kathy McVey and brother Volker Becker. So very sad to hear of Rich´s death. I met Rich through my husband , Tim. Nicest , kindest man. Rich helped me get my elderly parents appointments for their first covid vaccines. He went so out of his way to help . We are sending our thoughts and prayers. To a wonderful person, friend and colleague.

I will miss Rich daily as I called him my "lunch buddy."He was always up for a good conversation and shared his weekend adventures with me for many years. To say he loved life would be an understatement. He was proud of his work and loved his family very deeply. I admired his positive energy and upbeat personality. He will be very missed.
