Richard, my sweet brother--we expected you to be here so much longer! Life does not end, it just changes, which leads me to believe that your enjoyment of life, and your love of your wife and family will linger here on earth in our hearts and minds forever.
I will never look at a pastoral scene of lake and mountain without thinking of you; never look at a photo of your smiling face and forget the joy you found in telling a great story; never forget your love of your grandchildren; never forget how much loved I felt by my big brothers who watched over me as I grew to womanhood and to whom much credit is due for my appreciation of the male species; never forget how you lived each day to the fullest and left this dimension happy. Much love from your sister, Janice (We'll meet again, I know.)

Dear Rich ,
From , your son-n-law Mark, I always enjoyed the time I spent with you because you reminded me of my Father and his Brothers with your Chicagean accent and Carisma . I remember you wearing the Scottish Kelt " MURRAY " that Yvette gave you and how proud you were. I always said , You looked like a Proud Lion . There was something about you that drew people to you. I know you would be very proud of Yvette and her accomplisments. She is great cook and wonderful Wife and mother. She still talks about your O'Briens on Sundays and how good the house smelled. I know you are in a good place, you are probably at your favorite fishing hole as we speak. Jesse , Our 21 yr old Looks just like you , he is a Actor and still in his 3rd yr of College . Danielle is a Beautiful Young Mother , She believes , as we do , you are in Heaven with Grandma and Mary . Tawny , our Daughter , did not get a chance to know you , but you would be amazed at her talent , the way she plays Violin. Rest in Peace Rich , I'LL take Good care of my Irish Soul Mate , your Daughter, my wife , Yvette Suzanne .
Did I get a chance to Thank you for having that Baby ?
Until we meet in Heaven Rich . That is if St. Peter lets me in ! With love Always , Mark Kelley

Dear My Loving Father In Heaven ,
I , Yvette , your youngest Daughter , will always remember the first time you taught me how to catch a Fish , I remember your O'Brians in the Early Am . I remember the homes you built and how creative you were , the Octagon Home , I know that my Brother Rick is a Success today because he followed your Footprints . My Dad created a system that monitors the moisture in the Atmosphere , because California's a drought State , so , when it rained ..No sprinklers would go on. I will never forget" Wrigley Field " and seeing The Cubs Beat St. Louis . I can only try and teach my children the way you taught me , always correcting my English at the dinner table !
I will Love you In my Heart This Lifetime and Thereafter Dad . Rest in peace knowing so many , Rick , Brad , Yvette , Cindy , Michelle , and Patty , all your Sister's and Brother , Uncle Doug , Loved you along the many Grand children . I Hope Heaven keeps you warm Dad ,
With a Eternity of Love to you Dad ,
Your Daughter , Yvette Suzanne Murray Kelley , my Husband Mark Kelley of 12 yrs. My Children , Danielle , Jesse , and Tawny , who plays the Violin so you can rest in Heaven .

Dear Patty, Cindy, Richard, Michelle, Yvette and Bradley and families, What an untimely passing of our beloved Richard, who expected to be with us for many years to come. We expected that too, but now he will be in our minds with fond memories and in our heart with the love we all expressed on his 75th just the month before, in person or on the phone. How fortunate for us all to have lived in the midst of his legacy of "Life is Good" so that we too can carry forward with his love of family and friends. We will miss you Brother!
