PARK CITY - Richard L. Otterson, 60, passed away on January 21, 2016 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born on June 8, 1955 in Waukegan, IL to Carrol and Robert Otterson. He was a lifelong resident of Gurnee, IL and attended Warren Township High School. Richard is survived by his mother, Carrol Otterson, sons, Richard L. Otterson, Jr. and Christopher (Lynn) Otterson, his grandchildren, Sorelle and Channing Otterson, and Jason Rae, brothers Marvin L. (Dru) Otterson, Robert G. (Lorna) Otterson, and sister Charlene Otterson. He is also survived by his dearest friend and former wife, Vicky L. Ross. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Otterson, his father, Robert L. Otterson, and brother, Kenneth Ray Otterson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 10am to 11am with service to follow at 11am at Gurnee Salata Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, IL. Interment at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL.

I remember Rich well, often wondered if he still lived around here...when we were young we used to work together and hang out at the local favorites..Grif's and Fogcutter. Rest In Peace Rich, you were a good guy. My condolences to Rich's family.
