Richard Pires Obituary
Mr. Pires was born in Wareham and raised and educated in Marion. He was a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School and Franklin Pierce College.
He had been employed as a foreman in the pipeline construction industry until his retirement.
Mr. Pires favorite pastimes include his Corvette and sports, especially golf.
Besides his wife and mother, survivors include his daughter, Jalen Pires of Marion; his sister, Lori Pires-Cummings and her husband, Richard Cummings of Brockton; his niece, Ashley Cummings; and nephew, Andrew Cummings.
Visiting hours at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rt. 28), Wareham are Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, from 3 to 6 p.m. His funeral services are private.

2009 was a year that allot of good great people were taken back to heaven. My mom was one of those and remember Ricky from ORR class of 1976. Somehow in knowing we will someday be with our loved ones In heaven, time heals. Ricky touched so many peoples lives and his memory lives in our hearts forever.. Rest in Eternal Peace..
