Richard "Richie" Nave Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 19, 2022.
It is with extreme sadness that the Nave family shares the heart-wrenching news that Richard "Richie" Dominic Nave of Collegeville, Pa. passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the age of 51. Richie was a devoted and beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and dear friend to all who knew him. He was born in Norristown to Richard J. and Kathy Nave (née Lenhart). Richie attended Bishop Kenrick Highschool and was a proud graduate of Penn State University. Richie is survived by his cherished, beautiful and loving wife and life partner Nicole (née Leonard) and his pride and joy: their children whom he absolutely adored and loved without measure, Gino and Sonny, his mother, Kathy, and brother, Scott. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Nave and grandparents....... Richie served the greater community through his 26 years of service at the Montgomery County Health Department. Richie will be remembered not only for his loyalty to his family, friends, and co-workers but for his ability to instantly light up a room with his bright smile, charm, wit, and contagious laugh and incredible ability to tell a great story. He loved his Eagles and looked forward to every game and tailgate with his friends and family. He had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help anyone out. He touched many lives and made it a point to make anyone he met feel important and special. Richie lived every day with intention, gratitude, and deep love for his wife and sons. He poured his heart and soul into every minute with them. He rooted for and supported Gino and Sonny in whatever endeavors they chose to pursue and was proud of the young men they had become and are becoming. "You never said I'm leaving. You never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you. A million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you the day God took you home." - Author Unknown Relatives and friends are invited to Richie's Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 9:00 am until his Funeral Service at 12:00pm at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
