Richard Francis Troy, 71, of Vancouver, BC, passed away at St. Paul's Hospital on September 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Troy, and is survived by his sister Judy Divenanzo, brother Greg Troy, and nephews Justin and Riley. Few would know that Richard had been a student at the Vancouver College, a private Catholic School. Nor would anyone know that in Toronto he became (and he was not much older than a tadpole) topnotch buyer for T. Eaton Co., and would find himself dancing throughout Europe and well beyond. And few would know that Richard would marry a beautiful elementary school teacher (later repositioned to the TD Bank) and they owned the prettiest house in all of Etobicoke, ON, and a poodle (yeah, seriously, a hoity-toity poodle) named Heathcliff. Sadly, however, all things that go up must also come down. It has been arranged for Richard to be relocated from beautiful Vancouver; and in time, buried beside his mother in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, just North of Toronto. A memorial service will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at a future date. Say hello to our mother for us, Richard. She adored you dearly.
