Richard Weintraub Obituary

Richard Weintraub passed peacefully in his sleep, on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Jefferson Health Hospice, Warminster PA. He was eighty-five years of age. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Robert and Frances Weintraub. Richard was a resident at Ann's Choice in Warminster since July. He previously lived for twenty years at The Grove in Boynton Beach, FL and was a longtime resident of Langhorne and Levittown, where he raised his family.

Richard was an entrepreneur, operating Holiday Amusements between Cape May and Avalon, until he retired. Richard had previously owned Dick's Toy Mart with locations in Levittown & Bristol PA and Frenchtown, NJ. He was a graduate of NYU class of 1954.

He enjoyed trading on the stock market, breeding rare tropical fish and traveling. As an artist, he enjoyed painting and sculpture. He was an avid reader and loved playing cards.

Richard was the beloved husband of Winifred Joachim Weintraub for sixty-four years. He was the devoted father of Gail Page (Rick) of Perkasie and Bruce Weintraub (Judy) of Valley Forge. He was the loving grandfather of Jonathan, Michael, David, Chad, Thyra and many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. He was also the loving brother of Barbara Seewald (Milt).

Mr. Weintraub's memorial service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
