Rita I. Edwards, age 83, of Redlands, CA, passed away at Braswell's Colonial Care in Redlands, CA on April 19, 2013 after complications from a stroke. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Edwards on March 24, 2004. Rita was born in Detroit, MI to Richard and Irene Wickham on December 9, 1929. Rita is survived by her four children, Shirley A (Richard) Downie of Swartz Creek, MI., Kathy L. (Steven) Schnell of Alta Loma, CA., James L. Edwards of Henderson, NV., and Sally I. (Ronald) Wolter of Rockford, MI. She will be remembered by her 2 grand children, 4 step-grand children, 3 great grand children, 2 step-great grand-children, 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. Rita worked for Cooks Drug Store in Flint for many years before becoming a licensed cosmologist. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and had such a talent in knitting and crocheting. The memorial service and burial will be on May 8, 2013 at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. Her family is very grateful for the tender love and care
she received from all her
care-givers.
