Age 100, of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Beloved wife for 57 years of the late Julius R. Hohman; devoted mother of Michael (Maureen) Hohman of Mt. Lebanon, James Hohman of Fitchburg, MA and Jack (Mary Ellen Roth) Hohman of Fishkill, NY; loving grandmother of Meredith Hohman, Luke and Mary Roth; sister of the late Jack, Charles, Art and Dan Dean, Ruth Evers and Virginia Eberle; aunt of Bob Evers '#4' and Tom Eberle '#5'; also survived by other nieces and nephews. Rita's passions included her faith and family. She was a longtime, dedicated and active member of St. Winifred Church. Friends will be welcomed at the LAUGHLIN CREMATION & FUNERAL TRIBUTES, INC., 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Winifred Church, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh, 212 9th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Rita was my next-door neighbor for several years at Brookdale Senior Community and she became my dear friend. She was a warm-hearted person and kind to all of the people in our community. I and many others were blessed to have her in our lives. My sympathy to the Hohman family.

On behalf of all who knew Rita as Rita Dean in the days when she spent a lot of time here in Darlington (Cannelton) Pa.with the group of Sodality girls from St.Peter's Church South Side and Fr.Francis Rieke's family, we would like to extend our sympathy to all Rita's family.What a blessing to all of you that she lived a long life. May she rest in the peace of Christ.

I remember Rita and the Dean family very well. They were neighbors on the South Side and my late sister, Marilyn Rita, was named after her. My deepest sympathy to the Hohman family.
