It saddens me to have just learned of Mr. Billingham’s passing. He was my fifth grade teacher at Mt St Thomas Primary School in 1966. In addition, he was my first rugby coach.
Bob was an inspiration to me. He also wrote a reference for my application to attend RMC Duntroon. His assistance started my military career, which in turn informed the direction of my life.
It feels strange to experience the sadness of his passing three years late, and so many years since I last saw him, but perhaps this is the true mark of the influence of his life.

Mr Billingham was my teacher in year 5 and 6 in 1977 and 1978 at Lindsay Park Primary.
He was one of the best teachers I ever had !
Very memorable and was great at his job.
A truly inspirational human being to many young people.
May he rest in peace .

Mr B was my Year 6 teacher in 1976. I remember him as a hard working and influential teacher. He had the task of preparing us all for high school the next year. I have always remembered what he said about the importance of wearing clean shoes, as a general statement to us all one day...... Thank you to his family for "sharing" a wonderful man with his students and school community.

Mr Billingham was my Grade 3 teacher at Mt St Thomas many years ago. I still have many fond memories especially of softball. After leaving school I pursued a rewarding career in primary teaching. I would like to express my gratitude for his influence on my life and my condolences to his family.

Very sad to hear of the passing on Mr B. I hope he knew, and I hope his family know, that he was so well respected by all the students he taught, and remembered fondly many years on. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

Sincere condolences to all the family and friends of Bob. So sad for you all. Got to know Bob when he was teaching at Mungindi many many years ago. Grew up with and worked with Marilyn at Mungindi.
