Lehigh Acres - Robert (Bob) W. Dunsworth, aged 68, passed away on November 6, 2024, in Lehigh Acres, FL. Bob was born on August 22, 1956 in Macomb, IL. He attended Macomb High School and later went on to attend Augustana College where he received his degree in English Literature. Bob lived in Illinois for much of his life and relocated to Florida in 2015.

Bob was a talented carpenter known for his superior craftsmanship and exquisite eye for detail. There wasn't anything Bob couldn't build or fix! He spent many years working at Whiteside Area Career Center (WACC) in Sterling, IL and was heavily involved in the Center's Building Trades program. Bob touched the lives of many students throughout his tenure.

Bob was also known for his multifaceted interests, particularly his love of traveling, photography, woodworking, and cars. He had a passion for collecting and restoring antique cameras. His fascination of history and culture fueled his excitement for international travel. Those close to Bob can recall him often sharing stories and photos from his trips abroad. Bob was also very passionate about cars and spent much of his free time working on and restoring classic cars.

Bob is survived by his children, Alysha (Jeremy) Wilson and Ian Dunsworth (Morgan Park); his brother, James Dunsworth; and his sister, Julie (David) Sorrell. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Charles "Chick" Dunsworth of Macomb, IL.

Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society in Fort Myers, Florida is in charge of arrangements. The family will be holding a private memorial at a later date to honor Bob's life.

Bob helped me with installing my fan on my lanai. Always willing to help a neighbor in the condo development. So sad to hear of his passing.
