ROBERT (Bob) GEORGE IRVING

ROBERT (Bob) GEORGE IRVING, born May 11, 1955 in Truro, grew up in Masstown, Colchester County, Nova Scotia. Bob passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2023 in Vero Beach, Florida, United States, with his loving wife Sylvia and his little dog, Buddy, by his side a few weeks after being diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years - Sylvia (Adams) Irving, Vero Beach,Florida; Son - Michael (Tracy) Irving and Grandson Clark, Millarville, AB; Mother-Barb (Campbell,Irving,Brown) Kroeger, Sherwood Park, AB; Mother in law - Helen (Ellison) Adams, Hamilton, ON; Sisters - Jo-Ann (Irving,Frank) Marshall, Sherwood Park, AB; Cathy Irving (Schofield), Kingston, NS; Brothers-Wilfred (Kim) Irving, Falkland, BC; Vernon (Melinda) Brown, Cold Lake, AB; Step-siblings- Glenda (Don) Procyshyn, Garth (Cindy) Kroeger, Saskatoon, SK; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Bob was predeceased by his Father - George (Ted) Irving; Father in law - Percy Adams; Brother- Bruce Irving; Half sister - Edith Hepworth; Step fathers- Edward Brown; Abram Kroeger; Brother in laws - James Frank; Kenneth Marshall; George Hepworth; Grandparents- Raymond, Edith (Munro) Irving; Charles, Ruth (Ayling) Campbell; Nephews- Stephen, Mark Hepworth, Jason Frank; Niece - April Frank.

Bob was a career truck driver for various companies, and was self-employed as a mechanic after retiring from trucking. His great loves, besides his family and friends, were his trucks, motorcycles, and his little dog, Buddy. He was a proud member of the Legion.

The family would like to thank his doctors, nurses, hospice workers and his numerous friends for their tremendous support, kindness and care.

Bob will be remembered for his love of teasing (especially of Sylvia) and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

At Bob's request, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
