Robert John "Bobby Bump" Braddock

Robert John "Bobby Bump" Braddock, 65, of Towanda, Pa., passed away Monday evening, March 21, 2016 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Robert was born in Towanda, Pa., on May 10, 1950, the son of Fred W. and Beatrice M. Mosher Bump. He was a graduate of Towanda High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1972, during the Vietnam War.

Robert was employed by E.I. DuPont in Towanda for many years, until his retirement. He was a member of Towanda American Legion Post No. 42 and enjoyed guns, the outdoors, hunting and hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Surviving are his son, Zachary J. (Katie L.) Braddock of Charleston, S.C.; parents, Fred and Beatrice Bump of Towanda; uncle, Carl Bump of Towanda; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Hiott in February 2016, and brother, Gary Bump in 1973.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda, Pa., with Pastor Timothy Geiger officiating. Towanda American Legion Post No. 42 will accord full military honors at the cemetery. The family suggests that contributions may be directed to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, P.O.
