Robert Earl Clayton was born to Robert Henry Clayton and Rosie Leona McDonald on November 19, 1942, in Bakersfield, CA.
Earl was 75 years old when he passed away on May 31, 2018. The oldest of three children, he attended Rosedale Union and Bakersfield High School. After schooling, he went on to work in the family farming business with his father and brother. He later went to work in the local oil industry as a truck driver until taking a job with Occidental of Elk Hills running the 27R Warehouse. He married Beverly Priest in February of 1973.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Beverly; along with seven children, Michelle Everton, Dana Wilson and husband Brian, Daniel Rolfson, Wendy Clayton, Robin Holguin and husband Adrian, James Clayton and wife Sarah, Jacob Clayton and wife Cheryl; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Wayne Clayton and wife Carol, Carolyn Bumps and husband Leonard; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
