CROMPTON _ Robert George passed away peacefully on March 19th 2006 at Evergreen House, North Van BC. Born June 7, 1926, Bob was predeceased by parents Frank and Madeline, and second wife Lea. Bob was greatly loved and will be deeply mourned by first wife Maureen, their children Greg (Anne), Christine (Dana) and David (Jenny), his daughter Susan in NZ, brother Ray (Marg), sister Betty (Doug) and their families; grandchildren Nate, Jeff, Scott, Bradley, Mitchell, Julia, Rebecca and Amanda, extended family David (Cher) Van De Sande, Katie and Austin Brown, Leas children Sarah, Chris and Kathy, and many friends, including best friend Ken Lefolii (Meg). The family is grateful to his loving caregivers, as well as staff at Evergreen House. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 on Sunday March 26th at St. Anselms Church 5210 University Blvd, Vancouver, across from the the University Golf Course. Bob was a good friend of my parents (Al & Joy Trott) and I well remember the kindness of Bob and Maureen when I was on my own attending UBC in the 60's. He will be missed.
