Robert L. Fairchild, age 79, died peacefully Sunday Oct. 1, 2017. "Bob" was born Aug. 11, 1938 to Leo & Pella Fairchild. After graduation, he proudly served in the US Air Force. In 1972, he met the love of his life, Mary Ellen, with whom he spent 45 wonderful years pursuing & achieving many lifelong dreams which included spending time at their homes at Buckeye Lake and Green Valley, AZ. He enjoyed traveling & generously provided many happy and cherished vacations with his family. He loved his Cleveland Browns and Indians. Preceded in death by his mother and father, a son Christopher and sister Elizabeth. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen; son, John (Cathy) Chapman; daughter, Jodi Sedlock; brother, Fred (Cathy) Fairchild; grandchildren, Amber, Jessica (Jerry), Stacy (Jim), Dan, John (Sarah) Steven; great grandchildren, Juan, Isela; dear friends, Andy and Stacee Buechel; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Bob's family will honor his memory and forever treasure the life lessons and love he provided. A private memorial will be held at a later date. EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E.
