I just learned of Bob's death and am very saddened by the news. Bob was SUCH a great guy - big Texan with a drawl, a mind like a steel trap, and a heart as large as his state. He had a leather sofa in his NYC office that was as big as he, where he would take naps. Now rest in peace with Paula, dear Bob.

Words cannot express the grief and sadness my family and I feel about Bob's passing. He and Paula took us under their wings and became our extended family. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace Bob. Till we meet again. Love from Jeff, Ruby, Marie and Bryan.

I did not know Robert, Jr. but I know he came from good stock because his dad, Dr. Robert was my Dr. at a young age. He left an impression on me that I fondly remember and share with others from time to time. Dr. Robert, while operating on my big toe, relayed to me, I think to distract me, how he got into the cattle business. He said when he was around my age, about 10, that he used to go to the rail line in Devine when they were loading cattle. Many of the young calves were too weak to make the load so they were just discarded next to the tracks. He would put a rope on them, take them home and nurse them. He stated it was those cows which enabled him to go to college and that he still had fine herd of cattle as a result. Robert, Jr. may you rest in peace.
