Robert Stephen Gredlics, 66, of South Portland, ME, passed away on October 12, 2023. He was born on December 3, 1956. Robert served in the Navy for ten years in the 1980s.

Robert had a fulfilling career at Whole Foods in Palatine, Illinois for ten years in the 1990s before moving to Maine with his family. To follow, Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland, Maine for five years, and Lowes in Scarborough, Maine for 12 years before retiring at 62. He was known for his dedication and hard work throughout his time there.

In his personal life, Robert was a loving husband to Sally Gredlics and a devoted father to Elizabeth, Jason, and Justin Gredlics. He also had a close bond with his sister, Mary Brown, and brother, Richard Gredlics. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Gredlics, mother, June Gredlics, and brother, Thomas Gredlics.

Robert attended Berwyn Primary School and later graduated from West Morton High School in 1975. He furthered his education at Triton College and graduated in 1978.

Outside of work and family, Robert was a member of Thornton Heights United Methodist Church since 2001, where he found solace and community. Robert provided special music for the church through his keyboards and church organ many Sundays and holiday services.

Robert had a passion for playing his accordion since a young boy when he began lessons at less than ten years old.

Services were provided by Hobbs funeral home and the ceremony was held at Thornton Heights United Methodist Church in South Portland on October 27, 2023.
