I worked with Bob before he retired. I adopted the tradition he shared with us of the delicious breakfast casserole on Christmas morning, and I make it every year now. I am so sorry for his family's loss.

Bob...God saw you getting tired and a cure wasn't to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched and saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly we couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.... Merry Christmas Bob our lives are forever
changed without you. We are so thankful for all our wonderful memories with you. Sandy we are so sorry for your loss, we love you.

Sandy: As you must already know, Bob was more than just a brother-in-law; he was a brother in nearly every sense of the word. He was the best man at my wedding, the source of a ready laugh (especially when he talked about the "iced tea" in my refrigerator on Goodview), and the go-to guy when anyone--friend or family--needed a handyman for any kind of work around the house.
He taught me how to change my car's oil and brake pads, how to drive a stick shift, and how to remodel the Sweetbriar basement. He was the "Uncle Joe" (and you the "Aunt Vi") to Stephen, Bethany, Jason, and Mathew.
Even though we're going to miss him, I'm grateful for all the good memories he left with us. And even better, I'm thankful that he gave us the best gift possible--the assurance that he's enjoying eternal life with God (this very moment!) because of his faith and trust in Jesus. Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers every day.
